BreakThroughs
by: Sarah McMakin
I know it sounds corny, but ever since I was in high school, I would create these short snippets of texts or ideas when I needed something to help me align back onto the path of life. And when two thoughts connected at different ends, I would consider it a breakthrough. Sometimes I would have them every day, maybe even month to month, or simply over a span of experiencing. They don’t always make sense, but one thing I do know is that they continue.
So, here I am, writing a blog of the concoction of messiness these breakthroughs have created. They have to do with Jesus, the artful details of life, exploration, and people of many places—some being current and some from the past or future abstractness. I’m not saying these are perfect and upright truths, but for right now, they fit. And if one day they do not, that’s just another breakthrough.
Above all, I hope these writings inspire you to think so far out and love so deep in—to know that while these are just words, God’s love is the one thing that will truly break through.
